About Sell Like a Lady

Women are starting businesses at record rates and yet studies show that 88% of businesses owned by women generate less than $100,000 a year in revenue. It is my belief that this statistic is a problem and it needs to change. I have had the opportunity to work with far too many wonderful, talented women who desire to make a difference in this world, but they just haven’t mastered generating consistent revenue. 

One of the challenges is that a study by Visa reported that women founders cited “pursuing passion” as the primary motivator for starting their businesses. It sometimes takes a moment for women business owners to get their bearings as it relates to revenue generation. It’s important for there to be alignment between their passion project and profits. 

My goal is to help women business owners understand that increased sales lead to increased revenue. Once you have more revenue it enables you to hire support so that you’re not pursuing your passion project alone. This also grants you time freedom so that you can actually enjoy your life, your family, and your other interests. 

Finally, it leads to your ability to leave a legacy whether you sell your business, pass it along to another generation, or just have such a powerful and lasting impact through your work that your name lives on long after you are no longer here. This is why I’m on a mission to help women build profitable and sustainable businesses by understanding and mastering the art of sales. Once women business owners get this piece dialed in, they become unstoppable.
